After a constructive first half of football, Barton Rovers fell into free fall in the second period of the game as they were defeated 4-0 by their local rivals AFC Dunstable. The host's star striker Amu took the match ball home.

After having the first chance of the game through ex-Dunstable winger, Kieran Hamilton, Rovers looked to cause an early threat. However, neither team could break the deadlock in the first half as we saw some exciting end football. That was until Amu grabbed his first of the game just eight minutes before the interval. After some excellent football between Dunstable’s Farrell and Okito, Amu was in a position to strike low and hard into the back of the net, which he took. Once the deadlock broke, it damaged Barton’s strong defensive line that they had managed to keep up until the goal, and after the break, the floodgates opened.

Amu showed no signs of slowing down as he got his second of the game just after halftime, this time, a scramble in the box saw Amu intelligently come out victorious and find the back of the net yet again.

Amu’s third goal put the game to bed in the sixty-fourth minute when the tricky foward popped up in the right spot again to tap in his hattrick. Dunstable scored their final goal in the eighty-second minute as Collier scored a classy goal when he chipped it over Mollison’s head.

Rovers looked the most defensively sound in the first half than they have all season, but a ruthless second half from the hosts saw Dunstable take all three points.
