Inter-step playoff game information!

Yesterday the FA announced the draw for the step 4/5 inter-step playoff games. The tie consists of a step 4 side battling relegation and a step 5 side fighting for promotion, the winner of the match will play step 4 football next season whereas the losing team will compete at step 5 come the next campaign.

Following the announcement, we discovered that we will welcome Thetford Town FC. The Brecklanders travel from Norfolk following a successful campaign in the Thurlow Nunn League where they finished second on 82 points, just seven behind the champions Ipswich Wanderers.

George Diggins and Cameron King both finished the season on a staggering nineteen goals each, netting thirty-eight between them as they ran away with second place, finishing twelve points above third-placed Harleston Town. In their last five games, they have lost two, won two and drew one game but come into the tie off the back of a win.

Rovers come into the tie after narrowly avoiding relegation as FC Romania faced the automatic drop, we go into the game with a chance of survival and retaining our step 4 status. In our last five games we have lost three, drew one and won one, the win which booked our spot in this play off tie.

The game will be a 90 minute match and will go straight to penalties if the game finishes level, there will be no extra-time.
