Rovers defeated by Biggleswade FC

Barton Rovers fell to a 3-0 defeat against Biggleswade FC as the Rovers were unable to find a way back after going behind in the first half.

The Rovers started brightly, with Culkin seeing an early cross float just over the crossbar before Lucas Jordan replaced Martel Powell in the 4th minute.

Biggleswade threatened in the opening stages, but Matt Boylan was on hand to deny the hosts in the 10th minute. Barton Rovers continued to battle, but Silvestri’s header was off-target. Powfil Raposo was replaced by Ayman Assas in the 21st minute. Biggleswade opened the scoring before the break, with Barton Rovers heading into half time 1-0 down.

The Rovers came out looking to respond after the interval, but Biggleswade doubled

their advantage in the 70th minute. Changes followed, with Chenery and Renwick replacing Buckmaster and Wilkes in the 61st minute, while Edwards later came on for Silvestri. Biggleswade added a third late on to put the result beyond doubt, leaving Barton Rovers to suffer a 3-0 defeat. The Rovers will now look to bounce back against Hadley.
