Rovers hold out for Three Points at The Meadow!

The Rovers took a three goal lead going into the final thirty minutes, and just held on after a late comeback attempt by The Ducks! 

Rovers stopper, Matt Boylan was forced off in the 22nd minute due to injury, and was replaced by Tyler Josephs, who made his first appearance of the league campaign! 

The Rovers were first to open the scoring, after a sublime effort in the 27th minute from George Joyce, curled past The Ducks’ shot-stopper and into the top corner! 

Murphy Culkin added a second in the 35th, his free kick from 40 yards, was misjudged by The Ducks’ goalkeeper and bounced into the top left corner! 

Jake Bewley was booked six minutes before Connor Bernhardt added The Rovers third, in the 59th minute, after he dispatched on a bouncing ball from inside the six-yard area! 

George Cleveland added a consolation in the 66th minute, after firing a shot from power, from the corner of the box into the bottom left corner!

16 minutes later, Captain, Jack Wood added The Ducks’ second goal, to give them momentum going into the final minutes plus stoppage time! 

Dion Miftari was booked in the 91st minute, before Charlie Milton made a superb block, minutes later, to stop any chances of an Aylesbury equaliser!
