The Rovers bounced back from last week’s defeat with a 1-0 win at The Winton Haulage Stadium, this afternoon.

The first half started relatively quiet. The only attempt was Gouldbourne’s strike from a short corner, which was over the crossbar.

Alfie Warman found the net in the 14th minute. His attempt was magnificent, and bulged the bottom corner from 30 yards, to give the Rovers the lead. The midfielder was replaced just before the interval through injury, and he was replaced by Debutant, George Joyce.

Murphy Culkin made his returning debut for the Rovers in the 57th minute, and nearly made an instant impact, linking up with Joyce, but he sent his attempt over the crossbar.

Aylesbury failed to trouble Heath, in the Rovers' net, for the majority of the second half. However, in the 87th minute, Heath was forced into action to expertly punch two crosses away, to seal his clean sheet!

The Rovers held out well for three points, as they travel to Welwyn Garden City next Saturday as they hope to continue off the back of the win.
