Rovers defeat North Leigh late on!

After being 3-0 behind on 71 minutes, Rovers ended the game 3-4 winners! An incredible result against a very strong opponent.

Rovers were victorious in their first league tie of the season as they defeated North Leigh 3-4 on Saturday! Late drama saw Rovers net 4 goals in the last 25 minutes of the game. Joe Rider got Rovers first goal in the 71st minute, a predicted 'consolation' goal but Rovers had other tricks up their sleeves as Kirkpatrick and Rhiney netted back-to-back goals shortly after to bring the tie level going into additional time. At 3-3 and 90+5 minute, Rhiney found the back of the net again to complete the unreal comeback and take all three points home to Sharpenhoe Road.
